This position is based in New York, NY or Mountain
View, CA.
The role: Diversity Programs, Staffing Analyst
As part of the Central Diversity team, the Staffing
Analyst will focus on making all Staffing programs and processes data-driven
through metrics and dashboards that generate insights to help our staffing
functions attract the best and most diverse talent to Google. You'll use
technical and internal consulting skills to develop and maintain automated
dashboards, create forecasting models, and undertake diversity research
projects. You will design, develop, maintain, and support reporting solutions
using a wide variety of reporting tools. These tools will help users access the
data they need while helping to drive organizational performance. We are
looking for a candidate with a background in operations management or
consulting and a natural ability to identify issues and solve complex problems
in a creative way. Candidates must be able to handle multiple projects
simultaneously in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as point of contact to the Programs and Staffing/Sourcing teams for their data needs.
- Utilize the full spectrum of data sources to identify, track, and resolve problems to improve diversity hiring
- Develop reports and dashboards using a variety of reporting tools. Partner with the Central Program Managers and functional staffing teams on ongoing data needs
- Take the lead on creative new projects including designing new research, data collection, and analysis
- Communicate findings and recommendations on critical initiatives and influence leaders to take action on results
Minimum Qualifications
- BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years of relevant experience).
- 4 years related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- MA/MS degree.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and familiarity with statistical packages and/or SQL.
- Deep interest and aptitude in data, metrics, analysis and trends.
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
